The Garage Monkey started with a simple idea — that homeowners deserve a coating that lasts as long as their home does, installed by people who show up, do the prep, and stand behind the work.
Our story
Owner-operated, on purpose.
We built The Garage Monkey after years of watching Arizona homeowners get burned by garage floor coatings that peeled, yellowed, or failed within a summer. Every one of those failures had the same root cause: bad prep, cheap materials, and a subcontracted crew that was never coming back.
So we made three commitments. We would only diamond grind, never acid etch. We would only install commercial-grade polyaspartic systems, not big-box paint kits. And we would only ever run our own crews — a husband and wife team, so the face on the estimate is the same one on the install and the warranty visit.
Every project is still walked by an owner. Every floor is still mechanically ground. Every qualifying residential flake floor still leaves protected by our Lifetime Warranty against peeling.

A coating is only as good as the concrete underneath it. In Arizona's heat that margin isn't optional — it's the difference between a floor that lasts a decade and one that lifts in a summer.
We diamond grind — always.
It's the only prep method rated for long-term polyaspartic adhesion in a hot, dry climate. It also profiles the surface for a truly mechanical bond.
We use commercial-grade materials.
The resins we install are the same systems used in dealerships, breweries, and industrial floors — not the DIY paint kits sold at big-box stores.
We show up ourselves.
Owner-operated means the person who quoted your floor is on-site the day it's ground and the day it's coated. No sub-contracted crews.
We stand behind the work.
Every qualifying residential flake floor is backed by a Lifetime Warranty against peeling. If something's ever wrong, we come fix it.
